In 1991 Mt Pinatubo, the once highest peak in the Philippines, erupted in anger ejecting ash thousands of meters into the atmosphere. The largest eruption of the century killed hundreds of people, buried thousands of hectares of agricultural land and affected worldwide weather patterns.

Philippine Adventures offers you a once in a life time trip to Mt. Pinatubo. Depart from Manila at dawn and drive two hour north in a luxury minibus to Camp O’Donnell military base. Here you will board a 4x4 Jeep and drive across Crow Valley, a moon-like terrain, with vast lahar fields and rocky rivers. When you arrive at the start of the trekking point you will hike up towards the crater lake passing through ash cliffs and up a small clear stream. The views of the crater lake at the summit are breathtaking and worth every minute of the long trek. Cool down with a swim in the lake and take in the incredible surroundings before walking back to the 4x4 jeeps.
