Bohol is the tenth largest island in the Philippines and lies in the middle of the Visayas. This exquisite island is famous for its well preserved
natural environment and consists of long stretches of sandy white beaches.
The richness of Bohol’s marine life has made it a world class diving
destination with some of the best coral reefs in the Philippines.
The Chocolate Hills, all of 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills, are undoubtedly the most famous tourist attraction in the province.
The geological formations of these magnificent hills are consistent in shape and vary between 30 to 50 meters in height. The hills are covered with grass, which,
at the end of the dry season, turns chocolate brown transforming the area into seemingly endless rows of chocolate "kisses”.
The Philippine Tarsier is an endangered species endemic to the Philippines characterized by its bizarre look and big bright round eyes.
The tarsier was once abundant in SE Asia but is now facing extinction due to deforestation and humans.
The government of Bohol is active in promoting and safeguarding the region as
an eco-tourism destination and the local guides will let you know the various initiatives that are under development.
